re: Question for OT: Married but Separate Beds

We sleep separately a lot now because our 2 young children wake up and want to pile in and kick me in the nuts and back all night. If I know I'll need a good night sleep for something going on the next day I'll sleep in another room and vice versa. I would rather sleep in the bed with my wife though. If it works for both of you why not.

We both snored very loud. Hence, the separate bedrooms. I'd leave a note on her remote that would say "Horny bastard in the other bedroom". She'd come visit. Yessss!

My step-dad has been sleeping in a different room than my mom for 15 years. He snores loudly, and my mom is a very light sleeper. He watches TV on volume 97 at night, and she reads books. They have separate bathrooms, so that's good. No big deal

This wouldn't fly for me. If I were married to someone who could only sleep with the TV on, I guess I'd have to concede. Otherwise, no. Never.
