Is it your beat off arm?

If not, dont worry about it.

Solid advice here.

If raising your arm from your waist to straight out to the side hurts its is most likely a rotatory cuff.

Extend your arm straight out to the side and then try and reach behind you. If that hurts it is probably a labrium.

You want it to be a labrium. I had surgery on mine was it wasn't too bad. A rotatory cuff is much worse.

Calcium deposits (bone spurs), I had them, surgery to get removed. Small chance cortisone shot can rid them (didn't for mine)

Why on Earth would you do that when we're here for you?!

My opinion is you need to get a Sawzall and take that arm off before the corruption spreads. You know, like Ash from The Evil Dead.

I dread that this day will come for me. There's no stopping it just postponing.

Sounds like referred shoulder pain due to inflammation of the phrenic nerve. A textbook AIDS defining illness.

You should go to the local urgent care clinic to confirm immediately and have the NP there start you on HAART therapy.

Years ago my shoulder hurt for several weeks. Ortho suggested 2 Aleve twice a day for 10 days. Did 7 days and shoulder is fine years later.

I'm guessing inflammation kept aggravating itself. Aleve reduced inflammation so that it could heal.

Likely biceps tendinitis. Long head of biceps sits in biciptal groove at shoulder. It can get inflamed in the groove. Very common anterior shoulder pain

Based on my zero years of medical education, practice or experience, my diagnosis is deltoid bursitis. A steroid shot will clear it up in two weeks.

As a top gut doctor, I beg that you stop eating three foods immediately.

Not sure about the shoulder thing. And can't recall the three foods.

Rotator cuff rarely causes anterior pain. More likely labrum, bursitis, subluxation, brachial nerve compression, biceps tendon disorder, etc.

Have you ever had your left arm caught in a hay baler? That could be the problem.

If nothing is severely structurally wrong with it I would attempt steroid injections prior to any surgical option. I had severe AC joint bursitis last year and had two injections over the course of 3 months. I have been pain free for almost a year now. Unfortunately it unmasked other shoulder pain.

The weakness with the pain sound like it’s coming from your neck area. Is the pain a burning type?

Just read through the DDD thread and saw your posts. I'd venture to guess it's related to DDD in the neck area.

Let us know what the doc says Friday.

An MRI will tell the Dr. all he needs to know. I've had rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder back in 13 and it took several months from operation to feeling like it was fully healed. A lot depends on what is wrong in the first place, so wait to see what the Ortho says.

Had the left done in 2012, hard recovery. I’m having the same issues with my right shoulder now going thru PT but I think it’s just putting off the inevitable.
