I've stolen every pair of scrubs I have from different hospitals. I've never paid for scrubs.

It all depends on your work schedule. When I had hospital privileges (gave them up to do outpatient work), it was a pain to bring a change of clothes all the time.

It's just easier.

How many of you bring a change of clothes to work every day?

This is a useful response. I understand more now. Still though, if you're going to a restaurant, change your damn clothes. (unless you're a nurse changing into something less sexy)

All of Scruffy's are free from the hospital, except for two monogrammed pairs with Dr. Scruffy, MD on them that the program gave out.

I know a ton of doctors. The vast majority wear scrubs every day to clinic.

I see a lot of dudes traveling (flying) in scrubs. Some are docs, but a lot are medical reps. Seems like a douche move to me.

most people don't go home and change before they make public appearances after work.

I would imagine that having Scuffy, MD as your calling card makes up for a deficiency in inches in a couple of areas

That's very interesting, but it has nothing to do with the topic.

EM doc? :It's only speciality I see that likes to sport a scrub top with jeans/khakis, etc.

-----------
I wear some old scrub pants as pajamas. .. otherwise if you see me in public in scrubs, I'm either immediately coming from or going to work. sometimes unexpectedly at work later than expected with no time to Change.

Nobody should be wearing scrubs outside of work. It defeats the purpose of them entirely - you want to prevent bringing things in or carrying them out. People do it to save time/effort or to just look cool

I didn't even consider the reckless public health consequences of such douchieness. GREAT POINT.

Actually, any clothes would do the same thing.

Interestingly enough, ties are no longer recommended due to the transmission of pathogens. Same idea goes for white coats as well.

On another note, the more people we get sick outside the clinic/hospital, the more money we make.
