My brother in law is a safety guy for a service company that does shutdowns in paper mills. My sister in law has suspected
So two of your wife's siblings are married to each other?

You can't spell brother in law without BAW.

No. It's probably to be his wife's brother or sister and their spouse.

I contracted in paper mills for a bit. I’ve never seen anyone canned for a failed drug test. Outages are quick 1-2 week turnarounds to get the boiler back up and running. They’d rather coked up technicians working 16 hour days.
In my experience, the paper company didn’t require drug tests. They hire contractors who require them. It doesn’t surprise me that he didn’t get terminated, especially since they’re in the middle of shutdown season. Now, come July, they’ll probably tell him to hit the road.

You can have a bro in law that's not related to either of you. Are you serious?

Is that her? She looks way too trashy to be worried about him taking some pills. What is she on?

Not her. Just fricking with y’all. She has a few glasses of wine every once in a while. The woman in the pic looks like she can suck the chrome off of a trailer hitch when she takes her teeth out....

You dipshit. I had her pulled up side by side every relative of yours I could find on Facebook.

Safety guy fails a piss test?
That's a bit hypocritical of him since I'm sure he's fired baws for the same thing thing.
The only way he could maybe get away with it is if he makes up a story that he got slipped a mickey at the bar or accidently took a vivaynce .

I work in the oilfield and that’s an automatic termination. Then you’re in the industry wide database so good luck finding a job.
Where'd you get that from? What any company does regarding failed drug tests is up to them unless they are required to follow DOT requirements for the type of work they are doing (like pipeline work). And I know of no database and it would probably be illegal to share that data in that way.
But people do talk and it gets around, the type of work you do and the availability of qualified personnel often dictate what exactly happens after the fact. I've know plenty of tubing hands that have gone from contracting to one company to a different one after failing a drug test without even switching their employer or at times even missing a day of work.

Most of the Major oil companies go through DISA which is the drug and alcohol testing database that I referred to in my post. If you fail or refuse and try to get another job, that DISA flag will pop up. It mostly applies to deepwater. Now if it’s a mom and pop outfit doing land work, that’s a completely different thing.

I've always worked for engineering firms, we've always used SECON. Secon is a DISA company but I do not ever recall being informed that this was a possibility. Now I have never tested positive and never will but I would think there are some privacy issues unless you are informed.
Good info to know, thanks.
