I wear disposable lenses; I think they are designed for 2 weeks. I trash pair whenever they start to feel uncomfortable - sometimes that can be a matter days, or a week, whatever.

Every so often I get a pair that I can wear for a month or longer with no blurring, dryness, or discomfort. I have been wearing my current pair for at least a month.

Anyone else experience this? Also, why the disparity between lenses that come from the same box???

ETA I wear the same prescription in both eyes so I get both lenses from the same box.

Not sure I have a clear enough answer for you. Sorry.

Varies with your HIV viral load. Your load must be pretty low right now so contacts are lasting longer. Your HAART must be working well.

Valtrex is for herpes not HIV

Well, since I have them both, I tend to get my meds confused

I've left pairs in for damn near two months before. The air optix night and days are so breathable i just put them in and forget about em. I have a coworker that's even worse than me, but he actually got an infection in one awhile back. That's probably the worst thing that can happen

I wear the ones made for a month at a time. Sometimes a pair will go for 3 months sometimes they’ll go for 2 weeks. It really just depends on how much you actually wear them (I don’t every day) and how much strain you put on your eyes while wearing them

Hmmm. Eye strain. I don't ever sleep in my lenses.

Just wondering why a product from the same box has such a variant from other products from the same box. If two lenses can be worn comfortably, by the same user, for over a month; why cannnot all lenses in the box be worn comfortably for that length of time??

Forget contact lenses and get lasik. Best decision ever.

I used to wear the monthly ones but could stretch a couple months but I would take them out every night.

Wore contacts for 20 years then got lasik, one of the best decisions of my life.

I routinely leave mine in for a few months. Once they start getting blurry or irritate me, I change them.

I wear mine for months but have learned to actually take them out before they are glued to my eyeballs. You really should take them out nightly but admittedly, I often forget. I can get about 2 months out of each pair. That saves a lot of money and I can go longer without seeing the eye doctor.

I wear monthly ones and take out every night. I usually wear them for 4+ months or so before they bother me enough to take them out. I buy a box usually once every 2 years or so.

The only time it’s shorter than 4 months usually involves a slight tear from handling them.

Reading this is making my eyes hurt. I switched to dailies a few years ago & can’t go back.

I do the same thing. Buy as many as I can when the RX aid filled then wear them for about a month or when they become uncomfortable, whichever happens first.

I do take them out at night though.

I'm fairly certain that 15 years ago when I started wearing them they were made for a month long use. Then a few years ago I went to buy some and the lady gave me double the amount. When I questioned her she informed me they were only good for two weeks so I would need twice as many.

Pretty sure it's BS as I wear them a month or longer. Just get a new pair when they are uncomfortable.

I used to wear mine until they irritated my eyes. In doing so caused an infection and now I generally take mine out every night. If I forget and sleep in them I have to rinse off first thing next morning.

I don't see how people can sleep in their contacts on a regular basis. I took a long nap in mine once and when I woke up I scratched my eye taking them out(was PAINFUL...knew as soon as I took them out I had fricked up my eye). Had to go to eye doctor and get drops. I only have two eyes...gonna take better care of them.
