Question about wildlife and fisheries office in BR.

I need to go to the wildlife and fisheries office in BR to clear up a boat title transfer mess involving another state.
Is this office easier to deal with than DMV or it is a nightmare too? Long waits, lines, etc..
It’s too involved to handle over the phone. So just wondering before I make the 6 hr round trip from SWLA. :-(

But the last time I dealt with WL&F on a boat title, back in the 90's, they were very easy and helpful...

It's easier than the OMV. You'll still have to wait, but there won't be as many screaming children.
As someone who goes to the OMV often, the key is knowing what paperwork you need and having an appointment. Don't just show up and blame the teller for your ignorance.

Have all documentation and it shouldn’t be difficult. If you have to pull up an email you need to go outside. Zero WiFi inside their building or it wasn’t available previous visits.

Before making the drive, check with a local tag \ title place. Have one near me that can handle most anything and they send a runner to WL&F a couple times a week or as needed.

Find a local Title company. There's one here in Lake Charles that handled everything with LADWF when I bought a boat earlier this year that was registered in TX. The name of the one here is Thib's Title. I called em, asked for them to list every document I needed to get it all straightened out, and when I showed up with all of it, I paid, and they handled everything for me.

Easy. Definitely call before you go to make sure you have all required documents needed, you’ll be in & out in no time.

We didn’t have a hard time .. we were headed through Br to get to our destination so we stopped and did it in person.
Was to register my husbands boat. Waited maybe 30 minutes? Went pretty quick and everyone was pleasant. Not like the dmv.

Just did this. It's very easy, and much better than the DMV.
If you call, they are extremely helpful, told me exactly what I needed to bring up to Br. I waited 5 mins to be helped and got my registration in about 5 mins at the counter.
I bought a boat from a guy in Mississippi. Paperwork was clean.
I went to abc title to get the trailer done. Form 1331 for La Dept Rev at the main DMV office in Nola. Nola city hall for their signature after LDR on the same form. Then to Br to get registration done.

Go in person. Go to the lady on the far left at the windows. Very pretty married brunette about 40 years old. She is on the ball and will help you. Can’t remember her name.
