Question about Authorization for Emergency Use of a vaccine
Posted on 3/1/21 at 2:32 pm
Posted on 3/1/21 at 2:32 pm
How does a vaccine (or drug if those are every emergency authorized) move from "approved for emergency use" to "APPROVED"?? Tried searching with various key words and kept getting vaccine appointment sites.
Not debating or asking anything about any vaccine or drug ... only how does it move from one level of authorization to another? Is it just continued studies?
Have any gone from emergency authorized to Approved??

I would assume human trials would be a big part of the approval process.
BTW the current "vaccines" are nothing but treatments. They don't prevent you from getting the disease and they don't prevent you from spreading it.
I'm not saying they are bad or good, but calling them vaccines is pure hogwash.

all of the vaccines went through all 3 phases of human trials

Not a single vaccine can prevent a virus from entering your body.
And yes, the vaccines absolutely reduce you chances of spreading COVID.

What do you think a flu shot does?
It resembles the virus and more than likely contains dead microbes from the virus itself. No shite it doesn't prevent you from getting it. The whole point is to prepare your immune system fight the virus once you come into contact with it.

That’s essentially what the annual flu vaccine is. You don’t get it to prevent getting the flu. You get the annual flu vaccine to lessen the severity of it.
But the COVID and flu shots are still vaccines. The endpoints are just different than, let’s say, the polio vaccine, which does prevent you from getting polio.

The fact that someone downvoted you is mind-boggling. What are they downvoting for? Is it because they think you’re wrong? If so, good God I feel bad for them and their stupidity. How can someone debate what a vaccine is for?

I see somebody doesn't understand infectious disease or vaccines...yet is a Dr. on the OT.

"The FDA also expects manufacturers whose COVID-19 vaccines are authorized under an EUA to continue their clinical trials to obtain additional safety and effectiveness information and pursue approval (licensure)."
FDA is asking for EUAs to continue their trials to obtain the safety and effectiveness. LINK

This is a definition of a vaccine:
quote:
a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases, prepared from the causative agent of a disease, its products, or a synthetic substitute, treated to act as an antigen without inducing the disease.
Now explain to the class using your deep knowledge of medicine, microbiology and immunology how exactly the current inoculations that are called COVID vaccines are not vaccines.

You knuckleheads take your chances with that experimental crap.
I'll be taking my chances with a virus that has a 99.7% survival rate (or better if the deaths were accurately and truthfully reported).
The definition the CDC is using for the term "vaccine" is semantic at best.
Just read the literature they ask you to sign before taking it.
And no, I'm not an anti-vaxxer.

Paste from Poliboard thread.
Neither of the mRNA vaccines are FDA approved, rather, they have Emergency Use Approval (EUA). They represent a departure from traditional vaccines in that they do not use any part of the suspected pathogen to stimulate the immune system, but rather, nucleoside modified RNA, from which Moderna drew its name.
Dr. Christian Perrone, head of Infectious Disease at Hopital de Garches in France, stated in a complaint filed in Europe:
“The first vaccines they are offering us are not vaccines. They are gene therapy products. They…inject nucleic acids that will cause our own cells to produce elements of the virus.”
VAERS is criticized both for the fact that anybody can submit a report, and for the fact that it catches only a fraction of the adverse incidents.

Funny you had to cherry pick a doctor for that opinion. Now quote all the docs who disagree with him.
