Question aboot Facebook

So Friday I’m at my office by myself doing some paperwork and paying some bills and the father of a good friend that I haven’t spoken to in years sees my truck in the parking lot and stops by to say hello. He’s wearing a mask, I am not.

We don’t shake hand, instead we fist bump. Neither of us say each other’s name at any point during the visit.

Later that day I go visit my parents and mention that so and so stopped by the office to visit, I didn’t use his full name, i actually used his nickname

Then all of a sudden either Saturday or Sunday this guy shows up as a suggested friend on my Facebook feed. How does that happen? We never said each other’s name, I didn’t search for him on Facebook

Is it possible that maybe he searched for me and that’s how he popped up as a suggested friend?

I’ve since deactivated my FB since yesterday.
