If it was the Queen, we'd know by now. Some stuff leaked recently about what the protocol would be when she does and they wouldn't wait until an 8:00 AM announcement. We'd also likely find out as other countries in the realm are notified.

so... Philip and Elizabeth are 3rd cousins through 1 side of the family and 2nd cousins on the other? Am I seeing this right?

Geez.
Queen Elizabeth II is the monarch; Prince Phillip is not king. He is the queen's consort. If he dies, Elizabeth II is still the Queen. Phillip is a Prince in his own right through the Greek royal family, not because he is married to the Queen.
When she dies, Charles, as her eldest child, will become King. He will either be Charles III, or as some have rumored, take the name of his grandfather, making him George VII. Camilla will not have the title of Queen. I believe that was one of the demands of Elizabeth to Charles if he wanted to marry Camilla - Camilla would never be titled Queen.
When Charles dies, William will become King. We he dies, Prince George will become King.
When Charles does become King, William will be given the title of Prince of Wales, as well as retain his Duke of Cambridge title. Kate would be Princess of Wales and Duchess of Cambridge.
Prince Harry would only become King if Elizabeth, Charles, William, George, and Charlotte all met their demise at once.

The royal families of Europe, their blood lines seem to all cross each other some how. Prince Phillip is actually from the royal family of Greece on his pops side and Denmark on his moms side. Or something like that

This goes back to Queen Victoria, who was known as the "Grandmother of Europe." During the First World War, King George V of Great Britain, Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany, and Tsar Nicholas of Russia were first cousins.

Being the figurehead IS the job. The people like it and it brings tons of tourist dollars. It's a full time gig. They don't actually have much money. Buffet, Gates, Bezos, Slim, those guys all have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more money than the Royals, who are essentially paupers putting on a permanent PR tour show.
