There has been conjecture in the past from different sources that Charles would/could be passed over for the crown. How accurate or true that is, I don't know. I'm no expert on British monarchy. That being said, there will come a day when William is crowned monarch and I think he will probably perform his obligations admirably. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders, an understanding of responsibility and integrity, and all the charisma of his mother. I think he will carry on in the tradition of his grandmother, the Queen.
In the meantime, let's hope Prince Charles performs adequately.

Correct, Churchill was the last state funeral. Diana and the Queen Mother both had ceremonial funerals. Churchill’s was the first state funeral to be televised and broadcast worldwide, albeit on mostly tiny black and white boxes.
