Spray some vinegar cider. Just use it as a threat. You will never have to spank or wash a mouth out with soap again.

It's stupid. Just tell them that's not an appropriate word to say. Chances are they learned it from their parents and didn't realize in was wrong. Weird to punish a six year old for that.
