Punching the monkey used to mean something completely different 20 years ago.

So when does the "just $19 a month will save Punch the monkey," commercial come out?

Side Note: is that the Japanese version of Sarah McLachlan?

The search feature isn’t perfect but there was a thread on him a few days back maybe.

I didn’t read the article you posted but it appears that he’s now been accepted in the group.

If an animal cannot care for itself and its offspring, the best thing for it to do is abandon the offspring. It can always have more. If a mother sticks with the kid and can't feed both, both die.

All survival comes down to resource management.

Yea it’s cold but animals don’t have emotions. Saw a video once of a mother bid grabbing the weakest chick and dropping it out of the nest in order to keep feeding the others.

This reminds me of a joke i saw in the comments under one of the memorials last week for Van der Beek when he passed away : Do you know what is the zip code for Dawsons Creek ? … “90108” (you have to sing the numbers in a high voice)

.. unless that wasnt Sarah McLachlan who sang that.. i know for sure it was a. Generic 90s chick singer not named Alanis Morrisette .

Im not sure about the entire animal kingdom- but every dog ive ever owned or known, has been extremely emotional .. like either ecstatic to see you, or whining /crying with the really sad (literally hangdog) eyes, etc

I can see that, maybe more that they don’t let emotions sway their decisions when it comes to survival.

Out of all the old-timey culturally sensitive games that kids used to play, Punch the Monkey would have to rank pretty highly.

Hopefully any money donated for him can be put toward a better and more enriching enclosure for all of them. Right now they all just sit on a concrete pad.
