I’ll save you. Wilbon is bitching because there aren’t enough black coaches. Silly owners. They shouldn’t hire based on qualifications or who they like. We need to hire based on skin color because we don’t have enough of a certain type!

I generally like Mike Wilbon. I think he's a thoughtful, intelligent, sharp guy (Caveat: For a guy in sports media.)
Having said that, this take is dumber than dumb. The NFL bends over backwards to be #Woke and SJW-friendly.
Black head coaches have a relatively poor record overall. I'm not saying a majority of white head coaches DON'T have struggles of their own, but literally no one gives a shite about their color - if anything it is a liability for them in that column.
Hiring (or not hiring) folks based on color is dumb and billionaires/near billionaires (i.e. most NFL owners) don't get that way by doing dumb things.
The NFL is, or at least not that long ago was, a pure meritocracy. If every single cornerback and most RBs/WRs end up being black, no one said, "Well, that's peculiar - 13% of the population, 100% of the cornerbacks. Must be some anti-white bias going in there."
Because it's stupid. If there was another Jason Sehorn out there, you can be your Sweet Aunt Mary's arse NFL scouts would find him.

The only argument I could see is that someone of color wouldn’t get a second chance so quickly like Adam Gase or failed upward like Kingsbury.

Blacks make up @ 85% of the rosters.
Need more Hispanics, whites, and Asians.
