You remember the cassette with headphone adapter for your Discman? Well they have Bluetooth cassettes now.

But Google and Apple maps (and Waze) are far superior to the integraated options, in any instance.

If you expect to be someplace with poor cell service, I recommend Sygic. Download maps directly to your phone ahead of time and relies solely on GPS. Doesn’t download maps on the fly via cellular.

GPS always takes people an 1/8 of a mile west past my driveway.

Google earth says my house is in a town 8 miles away. Makes getting deliveries almost impossible. I love telling ups or fed ex that they can’t count on google and they ask if I’m sure I’m right. Yes you stupid frick I know where I live it’s google that’s wrong.

Google Maps doesn’t work for lease roads. For a perfectly accessible site you can:
1. Trespass through private property
2. Go down a different lease road, then have to walk 30 minutes because it took you down the wrong one.
3. Have a perfectly accessible road, but it insists you need to uturn for a 30 route.
4. Have it switch from coordinates to whatever the frick the nearest school district pin is.
5. #4, but it does it when you send the pin to somebody.

You need only two things:
1. Apple CarPlay
2. Waze App
I use it anytime I’m on the interstate, even if I’m not using it for navigation, because it’s great at warning you of cops up ahead.

I tried the Terminator voice once. Got old really quick and I changed it back to one of the female voices as soon as I got to where I was going.

It really does but it’s funny for a few. I turn it on when people hop in the car to get an Lol. Then I turn it back on silent like it usually is. I don’t let my technology talk to me.
