LINK

WAFB

Has a link for a letter from Sheriff which details how the insurance works

Standing in a long line to get a few plates.
Looks like it’s going to be a success!

Ran out of chicken due to preorders. Pastalya now. Got in line 30 mins ago, and line continues to grow behind me. Looks like an awesome turnout!! Lots of volunteers out here working to support a local hero!

Awesome turnout, with the parking lot full. I went on my lunch break and they said chicken would be 45 more minutes and pastalaya was running low. I donated 20 and headed to the BK across the street to get back to work.

Sorry for being a pain but I don't want to look through this entire thread for my answer: is there an address where we can mail a check just to make a donation (not to get a plate lunch or anything)? If so, who do we make it out to?

Thanks.

WAFB has the story about EBRSO response to the insurance issues
Inside the story is a link to the letter from the sheriff
At the bottom of the letter is address info to mail check

Also you can donate at any Whitney Bank

Wife just back with our meals. Great cause. Said she saw one lady who went to get meals but they were out. She handed over $100 and left.

There have been long threads on Nick. Also, people were there picking up food. The fundraiser was also on Facebook and I assume elsewhere. Many folks follow Nick's Facebook page where his father updates constantly. Obviously, people responded to the fundraiser based on the description and the lines and the running out of food.

I don't think the length of the two threads is comparable.

Well I stood in line for 45 minutes until they announced they were having to fill the 1200 preorders first. They said they ran out of chicken after only fulfilling 600 of those so they were going to start either the pastalaya. Had to go to backup plan so went to Las Palmas but will be sending in donation. Great turnout.
