Hope the admins don't mind ...
A gentle reminder for those of you who are in the area or can be in the greater Baton Rouge area.
Tomorrow, there's a lunch fundraiser for Nick from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Oak Point Shopping Center in Central at 14485 Greenwell Springs Road.
For $8.00, you'll get a plate of BBQ chicken, cajun potatoes, green beans and a roll. If you have a large order, i.e. your company or the company you work for, you can e-mail castironassistance@hotmail.com to submit your pre-order and let them know how many plates.
Every donation counts. So even if they run out of food, by showing up and making a contribution can and will make a difference.
Hope to see some of you out there. I'll be in blue jeans and a white shirt.

I'm going to come by and get lunch. Just for me but I could run some to a business for yall since I'm off and nothing to do during that timeframe.
I'll be in shorts and LSU polo and Ivars hat.

I'm not sure Walt. I want to say that I believe a bank (name escapes me at this time) may have something set up to where you can donate money in Nick's name to their account.
Perhaps someone else can chime in here who knows.

I could make a delivery for a local bidness or someone ordering more than a couple plates? I have a handy dandy Honda Accord and nothing to do tomorrow except Benny's and to go get me a plate.

Courtesy bump for the morning crew.
Every dollar counts. Even if you don't want a lunch plate.
And it appears that Nick's mother has responded in a Facebook thread in regard to a letter that Sid Gauthreaux published yesterday.
I can't imagine the amount of pain she and her husband are going through, along with Nick's wife and family.

I went by this morning and a big operation in the Oak Point parking lot. Lot of volunteers out there.

Looks like someone in Houston donated a house for the family to live in and a contractor from Baton Rouge is going to make it accessible for Nick on his own dime.

THEY FINALLY HAVE A PLACE TO STAY!!!!
Mrs. Sheri Cortez of Houston, TX has found a home for the Tullier Family to stay as long as they need.
Sheri is the wife of Ronny Cortez, a 25 veteran of the Houston Police Department, who was shot while on duty in Feb. 2017. He is now paralyzed from the waist down. The Cortez and Tullier families met each other at TIRR Memorial Hermann and when Sheri found out the Tulliers needed a home, she found them a home in Houston.
“Right now, the holidays are coming and they won’t have to worry about what their next step is. They’ll only have to worry about Nick. This is our way of giving back and helping our blue family. They’re here in Texas, out of their own home state and we’re helping our blue family here.” -- Sheri Cortez.
Plus, the home will need some modifying and need to be handicap accessible for Nick Tullier. That's where Baton Rouge's Chris Courville of Courville Construction comes in. He's providing all the updates free of charge.
"We are not only Helping a Hero move into a house but we are making this house a HOME. Absolutely cannot wait to take the stress off this family that has been through so much. We are visiting the project Sunday and construction will start IMMEDIATELY, free of charge! God bless our Hero’s." -- Chris Courville
Life has an odd way of introducing us to strangers who become family. Despite how much evil there can be in the world, good will always overcome the evil. I'm simply amazed to see the generosity of people, the messages, texts, calls not only that I've received, but the ones the Tullier family has received with people wanting to help. A huge thank you to everyone especially to Sheri Cortez and Chris Courville! All this warms my heart! Nick Tullier Strong #Godisgood #lifebeyondjuly17 #nicktullierstrong #BRTXstrong Blue Lives Matter

Can anyone explain why it seems Nick is getting shafted by his insurance company? I just watched the news story about it and it makes me sick.
