Blue Bayou season passes go on sale this Thursday.
For a low, low price of $520, a family of four can slide down a couple slides.
I don’t even think Dixie Landing (ride park) will be open.
When my daughters were young, we would get season passes ($55 a ticket), go on Mondays to Thursdays, as soon as they opened (10am). We would leave by 1pm, the girls were fine with this.
We would go to concerts on Saturday night (they had great concerts) and ride the rides.
They haven’t had concerts in at least 5 years.

If they upped the price, they wouldn't need to spend as much on sekurrdy.

My daughters are still teenagers (no pics you sick frick).
I’m not an old man, my screen name is because I use to collect vintage LSU memorabilia.

Yes, they fricked a lot of people.
“Your season pass will be good next year”
The next year - opened a month late and Dixie Landing didn’t open.
I’m so glad my daughters stopped wanting to go there seven-eight years ago

Those were some great summers. And it wasn't all that long ago for those asking. We did this with our 4 kids 2012-2015.
It was fun getting there at 930 in the morning to be first in line. Run in and go ride the slides and shite for about two hours before it got jam packed.
A few times we went twice a day. Right when it opened and then 4-close.
The free concerts(with our passes) were pretty bad arse too.

They had some pretty legit acts. A few I can remember:
Cheap Trick
Panic at the Disco
Chris Daughtry
Village People
DNCE

It's a vacation destination for some...and for that reason, I'm out.

That tainted water will do that to you.

Double that price and I might be willing to buy it

Well at that rate that place might just dry up.

Saw Trace Atkins there one night while kids rode the rides. The wave pool was a no no back then.

Took my young kids last year via free passes from a radio contest years ago. It was fun. Went during the week and wasn't that crowded. Limited attractions were open for slides and rides due to nobody still wanting to work after the "pandemic". My kids and I enjoyed it.

As I age I'm ok with places being expensive because it prices out the undesirables.

It’s not as good as it once was but still fine to take the kids to for a day during the summer
People on here are just unhappy and will complain about anything

Soft. That was an everyday occurrence at Thunderbird Beach and we all managed to live.
