It's crazy how many scams are out there. My father is in law enforcement and he posts pretty much every week a new scam that is going on in the community.

ETA: With all the misspellings I didn't even catch the fact that they're saying the debit cards are catching on fire.

Precushion sounds intriguing. I always feel like I need to gradually work my way into being relaxed.

To my knowledge I’ve never been scammed or come across a scam.

I got one of these. Put my PIN backwards to send a distress signal.

That is scary.

As a precaution, I took all my cars out of my wallet and threw them on the ground. I am not catching fire for a debut or credit card.

Thanks OP!

Maybe I'm old fashioned like this, wallet in my BACk pocket and all, but not exactly sure how this would burn my stomach.

I got the one a few weeks ago that they caught me whacking it and had video. Luckily, I had read about it, but it did freak me out that they had my work email password.

I would use that form as toilet paper and mail it back to them.

Nothing screams legit like mailing your debit card overseas to Bangladesh with your PIN.

What always gives it away for me is all the words they use to try to ramp it up. “Terribly!”, Urgent, Uppermost. No real corporations ever talk that way solely because of the liability and PR concerns. They downplay things.

Got one yesterday on email from “GoDaddy” about a change in terms for my email account. It looked real and I almost clicked the virus link to “confirm receipt” but the only thing that made me cautious was their demands that I respond “immediately!” aor they “would terminate my account.” The urgency was what gave it away.

I'm not sure what I'm more impressed with, that person's understanding of the english language, or that that type of person is actually capable of putting a logo on a piece of paper.
