A wise man just said that refineries in Texas will soon be shut down.

And the price at the pump will go up.

I currently see $2.01 per gallon at RaceTrac.

Not sure what Costco is at the moment. Last week, it was $1.99 per gallon.

Correct. Now projected as a Category 3 when it makes landfall.

Corpus area refineries will probably shut down, Citco, Valero Three Rivers, Valero Greehey, Flint Hills.

Phillips 66 Sweeney MAY shut down.

But from everything I've heard today, Valero Texas City, Marathon Galveston Bay, Exxon Baytown, Houston Refining, Shell Deer Park....no planned shut down yet.

Vessel traffic will be limited to outbound only on the Houston Ship Channel sometime tomorrow afternoon.

I'm surprised it's been almost 10 years since a decent one has threatened the gulf coast.

We have a lot of freight over in Houston area (baytown)

They are paying extra $$ to get their freight out today instead of next week. I'm about to rape these guys and make some green today

I hope the New Orleans people are as welcoming to the Houstonians as they were during Katrina.

Have a friend with his own private in-ground tanks (one with ethanol-free premium & the other with diesel).

Remote power source as well.

Q: What's better than having your own?

A: Someone else who does and will let you use them.
