PSA - Please tell the person on the other side when they are on Speaker Phone!

i called my buddy today and he answered hands free with his wife in the truck. After about 2 minutes of small talk, I brought up his fine arse sister in law. Needless to say, his nuts are in a vice. I was on speaker without knowing. That’s on him....right? I always answer “Hey you’re on speaker”.

We were all together Saturday night. I basically said, “you’re right, Mary is looking hot these days”. Nothing major, but could have been avoided.

Almost ended a friendship over him no telling me I’m on speakerphone with his whole family in the vehicle. I admit I was being vulgar but I always am with buddies on the phone. I don’t talk to friends on the phone for some small talk. I’m a heterosexual man. If I call you, it’s either something funny or something nasty most likely. Almost always vulgar. I usually use it as confession time:
Me: Hey man, I fricked a wall hanger last night. She had to have been pushing 300 lbs. Can you believe I fricked another fat 65 year old lady!? Why do I keep doing this!?
Buddy: Soup! Don’t talk like that in front of my kids! I have you on speakerphone on the way to church! What is wrong with you!?
To this day I don’t know why he thought I should have been a psychic at that moment.

Because I don't want people to put me on speaker without me knowing, I just drop the n-word three times straight as soon as they pick up.

And it's incredibly easy to tell whether you're on speaker or on Bluetooth in the car.
