i wonder how folks would feel if a bunch of kids had gotten their prayer rugs out and prayed to Allah after the game.
I would be fine with it. I would not be fine with teachers or coaches leading that, which is the point of the rule. It is a good one.

Right, if this had to do with Muslims this board would be celebrating the school and some racist shite would get said
Huh. Since you are so certain, surely you have one example of this ever happening that you can share with us?

The school district just said the coaches can't lead it. No one told them to "quit praying."
Because they're leftist cowards who don't want to defend the coach's rights.

Let be more clear, you and bunch of people here type a lot but don’t make a ton of sense or use logic.
Majority here are hardline conservatives who whether they’ll admit it or not secretly want some kind of Christian pseudo theocratic government. Which is why threads like this exist, get mad at the school for following rules set during the foundation of our country.

The coach does not have a right to lead prayer

This may be the stupidest thing anyone has ever said. Read it back to yourself. Slowly.

Push him a little so we can get a real melt.

Of course he can. He has the same rights to free speech on government property as literally everyone else. You leftists have imagined the idea that the constitution restricts what citizens can do.

Pointing out you don’t know dick about communism or socialism and that you just use the terms as buzzwords? That’s not as go to, it’s fact

Although the Constitution forbids public school officials from directing or favoring prayer in their official capacities, students and teachers do not "shed their constitutional rights to freedom of speech or expression at the schoolhouse gate." The Supreme Court has made clear that "private religious speech, far from being a First Amendment orphan, is as fully protected under the Free Speech Clause as secular private expression." Moreover, not all religious speech that takes place in the public schools or at school-sponsored events is governmental speech. For example, "nothing in the Constitution . . . prohibits any public school student from voluntarily praying at any time before, during, or after the schoolday," and students may pray with fellow students during the school day on the same terms and conditions that they may engage in other conversation or speech. Students may also speak to, and attempt to persuade, their peers about religious topics just as they do with regard to political topics.

As employees of the government, public school teachers and administrators are subject to the establishment clause and thus required to be neutral concerning religion while carrying out their duties. That means, for example, that school officials do not have the right to pray with or in the presence of students during the school day.

No you conservatives just cherry pick what part of the constitution we should follow. Separation of church and state is still a thing

Please explain to us how you are not a commie?

No, it's something you imagined. The constitution is a restriction on the rights of the government, not on the rights of the people.
