Protestors on Siegen Lane are likely racist

So these people that have been protesting in St. George chose this spot for a specific reason. They think it’s the white area of the “city.” Unfortunately it is not apart of city of Baton Rouge.
The protesters have come from the surrounding areas and parishes to protest in the “white” part of Baton Rouge. If they really wanted to protest against systemic racism they would go back to Airline by the Police headquarters or downtown near city hall.
How were they allowed a permit to protest with a large group of people if phase 1 prevents even small gatherings?

You need a permit to protest against the government?

So far they have been peaceful and nothing bad had happened.
I live in SG and I have no real issue with what is going on. They just need to speak their peace and stay peaceful.

Apart =/= a part
In fact it's pretty much the opposite.

Target is a "white store"
Their hope was to "bring the protest to the white community"

Weren’t most of the protestors white?

Incidentally, target employees are mostly black. In fact many of the employees were concerned about what would happen if their store were to be taken over. Sauce ? I over heard several of them talking on Sunday about what they would do if they were there when it happened or what they would do for work if the store was destroyed.

Be that as it may, their choice of location is completely illogical and overtly racist. The genesis of this "movement" was the use of seemingly excess and unnecessary force by a POLICE OFFICER resulting and/or contributing to the death of a man in Minnesota. From a logical standpoint shouldn't the "protest" be against the police department? Or at least the state/local governments? Neither of which are headquartered on Segien Lane
So why this seemingly completely random spot? The only logical answer is because it is seen as the "white part of town"? So rather than protesting at the headquarters of the people/organization the purportedly have an issue with (police). Which would make sense. They reveal the ACTUAL target of the protest...white people....in Baton Rouge. NONE of whom played any role whatsoever in the event that sparked the protest.

From the story I saw on TV, yes. A younger crowd too.

ah so we have switched from
"why can't they protest peacefully"
to
"Why can't they protest a different way"
following the playbook very well there i see.

They want to be seen, and noticed. That’s their goal.
It’s working too, we are discussing it.
The protesters are mostly white anyway, They are the same types as the kids who protested in the 60s. Young and really naive.

Bocage, highland road near I-10 (not in the city) Jefferson near Essen and the list goes on and on.
Just pointing out they are racist. Let me know when they want to have a conversation because I’m ready.

No, it's that the locale makes no sense whatsoever relative to the issue they are purportedly protesting. And in doing so, they are negatively affecting businesses that have nothing to do with the root cause of the protest.
If you felt that Dillard's wronged you in some way would you respond by going protest out front of Raising Cane's 3 miles away? Their issue is presumably frustration with the way black people are treated by the police, right? Then why not protest in front of police HQ...which would seemingly be a more effective way to force the change you want? Or, go to the capitol building downtown. You know, where the people who make the laws ACTUALLY work

Wait so limiting people to groups smaller than 10 is unconstitutional?

And you are the authority on this based on......
One of the biggest fallacies that we have ever nurtured in this country is that everyone's opinion is valid and must be taken into consideration when discussing topics.

I think you are being obtuse.
Explain to me the significance of protesting on Siegen Lane?

If the protesters would be protesting somewhere else, he’d criticize that location too.
