the contracts that I pulled did not appear to be renewals

Which ones did you look at, out of a personal curiosity, so I can do my own research?

(and I didn't mean my question to be any gotcha attempt, generally was curious if they were renewable contratcts or one time-ers)

They know they don't have the power to actual cancel the contracts, its just simpler to say it that way.

a. People do think DOGE can do this and is making actual progress in this manner (they are not)

b. The CR is our actual spending. If Congress and Trump enacts a similar CR to the last one, there is no savings and more deficit-debt increase.

I don't remember specifically

You can click around on the DOGE website for contracts and the little icon will show you the contract

or you can go to USAspending.gov and look up the contract #

Cool, and as i've already said, unless the payment comes from savings/eliminations, I don't support it. Good talk.

Inflation

Covid stimmies and spending took about 25% of your wealth from you in the form of inflation.

If you managed to save your entire working life, they devalued all that work in order to give freebies to individuals and business.

I didn't get a dime.

Rebates/stimmies is stupid. balance the budget. Pay down the debt. It's going to cost you way more than 5k if things keep going this way.

Me giving the federal gov't $25k last year in taxes and $10k in social security is retarded.

Just think how those that pay way more feel?

Question, why would we all get a 5K rebate?

Almost $40 trillion in debt and we're talking about stimulus checks. Pay off our debts.

That’s what I’ve been saying to anyone who brings this subject up.

You know what happens when you just give money away? People don't want to work. Looked at what happened during covid with those stimulus checks. People thought that free money was going to keep rolling in and stopped working.

People didn't stop working during COVID because of the stimulus checks, they stopped working because unemployment was paying something like the equivalent of working a 50k salaried job

It’s not a stimulus check if the money is already printed.

It’s just a check
