I voted straight yes on all the issues. DA office needs more money since right now average time to court is 5 years due to being understaffed. For all you complaining about tax and then voted no, please stop complaining since you had a chance to help the situation.
As for the schools 4 we’re just a renewer and 1 new one. How many of you have students in public education? Teachers need to be paid more not less with cost of living going up. If you eliminate the tax teachers will get a pay decrease and leave the profession. Well there’s actually more leaving than going into the profession as it is. So your options one day will be to pay for private school or have your child completely virtual at home every day since they will need 1 teacher for every 200 students at a time. This is how I see the educational system going by the year 2100. And charter schools can get more teachers because a charter school doesn’t need certified teachers. Basically legally the can throw anyone in the classroom regardless of their qualifications. So do you want that?

I voted no on the DA tax and all the renewals. My wife did the same, which surprised me.
Taxes aren't theft. They're necessary to run a functioning government. But the constant merry go round of taxes being placed on low-turnout elections, prior funding streams being shifted to general funds after new taxes pass, and creeping growth in tax burdens in the face of falling population is exhausting and ridiculous. Until adults run the show and are willing to have honest discussions about real needs and burdens, not just wants, I'm voting no on all taxes and renewals. And i don't care what they are intended to fund.
Also, there should be no more than two (maybe three) voting dates per year (plus runoff dates).
I regret I only have one upvote to give.
This cat and mouse game of selective government funding is childish.
I also vote no on all taxes and renewals. Unless the government is also going to supply a way for my paycheck to go up, they can make do like everyone else.

The issues with public education have nothing to do with funding. There's more than enough money going into the system, it's just mismanaged, and that mismanagement will never be fixed if everyone keeps pulling levers to send more money.
Nor have I ever seen any real interest in addressing these issues head on. Schools could and should do much better jobs of spending the money they have, but even ideal financial management and planning will not fix the issue of disruptive, unsupported students who bring their own familial and social pathologies into the class room. Schools aren't designed to fix that.

Teachers need to be paid more
I would only ever support a pay raise for a teacher if they ditch their public sector unions. That includes police and every other taxpayer paid salary.
Public sector unions bargain against the taxpayer and for the taxpayer paid employee, often to the detriment of the taxpayer.

How long has the DA been in office?
The DA had a phucking GIANT Obama flag at his law office after he won in the primary. He ran as a law and order guy whose dad was USMC Sargeant.

For those who didn't see the results, all the school board taxes passed. The DA funding didn't. So more money poured into failing schools, no more money to fight crime. Only 17% voted, most of them teachers and their families/friends, I'm sure. Typical.

Compared to the last election with school board renewals, we’ve made up some ground.
EBRPSS is about to have more money than it knows what to do with between declining enrollment & closing/consolidating schools.

And I'm sure all the money will be spent wisely for the betterment of students.
