All those people who had hip and knee replacements will feel pretty stupid when we can fix ours by taking a pill.

Thanks...but I'm good. I would like to retire around 60, live another 30 years and have some money to leave to my kids while I'm partying in heaven.

How do you financially plan for living forever? It would suck.

I approve of this approach. We have done a good job adding quantity to our lifespan, but the quality of those years is often less than ideal.

No one wants to live to 100 if the last dozen or so years is confined to a wheelchair in a retirement home.

You can still die from accidents and other stupid stuff young people die from that's unrelated to disease. You're not going to be immortal.

Also, the added value of health to the economy would be bonkers. The economy would explode. Think about the drag health costs have on people the last 20 years of their life, think about the drag medicare/medicaid have on our national spending.

Health is wealth.

Prolonging life for people to be around 150-200 years is not good.

Sounds like the lizard man wants to live forever and is getting bilked by researchers who are happy to take free money.

You serious? China is going to have a massive population drop and it's going to force them into stagnation for a long time. We're already seeing it happen. The one child policy devastated their population growth.

More than a third of the country is going to be over 65.

This will be for the super rich, will likely be super painful initially, and will be a bad idea.

Me to. This is too late for us but I tend to agree with the others in here who don't want to live for hundreds of years. Hell, I'm having a hard enough time now reconciling what I'm seeing nowadays, I don't think I want to see what it will be like 100 years from now

Yeah well, that's just your opinion man. Many scientists think we're already past the point of global saturation and news flash, the world population is still increasing
Those scientists are idiots and have been crying and incorrect about population since the 1960s at least. See Paul Erlich and "The Population Bomb."

Pretty interesting spin off.

If you were going to live for a thousand years what age would you want to be? I think I'd say 25-28.

One of our biggest problems exploring space is our limited lifespan. This might open the door to expeditions into outer space.

Breast Milk prevents aging. I buy mine from the dark web.

It is the secret ingredient in my world famous abstract queso dip.
