This is a retarded argument to not to get the vaccine.

We vaccinate against plenty of viruses that aren't fatal.

Plus -- have you considered the downside of long Covid in your risk calculation?

they shut down the J&J vaccine because like 6 people got blood clots, but y'all think they are still pumping out the vaccine with 4000 deaths?

I can only vouch for one death, but i also only know one person who died of COVID. As far as how reliable the data is that’s available to the general public, i honestly don’t know.

So now you understand the math behind survival rates and that COVID was overblown by HUUGE proportions.

I’ve already had COVID, and i do have some lingering loss of smell. But the infection also offers a degree of immunity. With many viral diseases, including chickenpox, history of active infection offers greater immunity than the vaccine. We don’t know the relative immunity, including length of immunity, of the disease relative to the vaccine.

COVID is very likely multiple times more deadly than the vaccine
The government response to COVID was greatly overblown
The vaccine is safe and taking it would be a net positive for almost everyone in the population

All of these things can be true and not contradictory

Certainly could, as well as immune disorders related to the vaccine, something we wouldn't know for a long time - even if we were looking for it.

Curious, how many would it take to be of genuine concern?

I mean, first and foremost it would need to show causation instead of just correlation. VAERS isn’t a reliable measure in that regard because of the mechanism that anyone can report an “adverse effect” without showing evidence of causation.

For instance, when I got my Moderna shots I signed up to check in with the CDC to report potential side effects. At any point I, as just a layman person, could report adverse reactions to VAERS.

I can only relate to my own industry. If I have more than 6 negative reports per million units distributed, that's considered a failure

Apples and oranges given the reporting system.

What's more likely to kill the average 74 year old? Old age, the vaccine, or covid?

Wait are we listening to doctors or are we not? I can't keep up.

Or is it listen to the doctors who have the same opinion as me...Ah I see got it.

To keep in line with my stance on COVID this entire time...

What are we talking here? 1000 dead of how many vaccinated? Why should everyone stop because we're likely talking about a fraction of a percentage?

You are 100% correct, but it's the only system we have in place to suggest adverse events, right? It's not like we can expect autopsies. It should function like a canary in the goldmine.

We should definitely listen to doctors, as well as gather as much info as we can by looking at the research and data available to us. Then, based on that info and our own unique situations, make our own decisions about what to do.

It's really weird how militant the vaccers are. They barely cared about me getting the influenza vaccine but damn it you better get the COVID vaccine. I guess on an emotional level they want to feel justified for getting the vaccine themselves.

No one cares if you get it. We also don't give a crap if you end up fighting for your life after contracting the virus. Choices have consequences, right?

In VAERS anyone can report a potential adverse reaction with no record of causation. It’s likely far less than that.

Headaches, chills, fever, arm soreness, etc. are also all logged as "adverse reactions," so truly serious events are statistically insignificant in their rate of occurrence.
