Progressive Car insurance?

Anybody have car insurance with them? Are they reliable/good? Any problems?
Geico just went up and Progressive would be $200.00 cheaper for the year..for a one time payment.

I had them for years, my car flooded in the 2016 flood & they handled everything very quickly with no complaints.
Switched about a year ago to State Farm for the same price / coverage.

They're all huge companies that are a pain in the arse to deal with. Get the cheapest reliable one and hope you don't have to use it.

Me and the wife both have tickets in the past year and she had one accident and ours went down. I have no clue why

I had some bad math Progressive would be $360.00 cheaper for the year..At this point it's no question.

At the end of the day all auto insurance companies are the same except the Go Autos, Generals, USAgencies, etc.. Progressive is one of the better companies to be with and they do pay claims. I was hit by one of their insureds one morning and by 2:00pm the same day they called me and they paid me a few days later with no questions asked.
Now, for injury claims they're a pain in the arse. I injured my shoulder in that accident and they nickle and dimed me to death. Refused to pay for some of my medical bills until I "settled" the claim with them. I didn't want to settle until I knew the extent of my injury. Why would I let them off the hook before I finished treatment? Once I let them off the hook they would have stopped paying my bills.
I felt like I was forced to get an attorney because of their stupidity. So instead of them paying around $4,000 in medical bills, they ended up paying over $15,000 because of what the lawyer was able to do.
Insurance companies' hardheadedness is the real tragedy in Louisiana - not lawyers. Lawyers just take advantage of the insurance companies and their stupidity. I mean, wouldn't you want to pay $4,000 instead of $15,000? That's dumb on the part of insurance companies.

pretty much this, I go through an agent and have them shop around every time my policies come up for renewal, fortunately I rarely file any claims

That was probably the 3rd time this one has been wrecked. It would probably be cheaper for my wife just to Uber everywhere. She's a shitty driver.

I have progressive. After my car was stolen a couple of years ago they handled the claim quickly and were easy to deal with.
Unfortunately, they have been cranking my rates up quite a bit of late and I may soon have to look to go with someone else.

I'll never deal with them because of their commercials.

Been with them for years. Never had issues and they are far cheaper than any alternatives I have looked into. Combined my spouse's vehicle and our rate went down even more.

Had them for a long time with no problems. Only left because it got too expensive.

I can’t get root to give me a quote. Been stuck on my test drive with a 1-3 days wait for 2 weeks.

Update:
I just got off the phone with Geico..Got the line "we hate to lose you..you have been a customer for twenty years". "Oh by the way we have new rates for customers". Basically they gave me the same coverage for 360.00 less a year. Plus they are going to reimburse me the difference for the last two months. It works out that I don't have to pay for a month and a half. Happy me!

I've found this to be the case with all car insurance companies. They just continue to jack rates until you switch to someone else.
I've had Progressive for a few years now. No problems whatsoever. They paid a $15,000 liability claim last year, no problems.

If you are a Progressive policy holder you usually don't have much problems. If you are hit by a driver with Progressive, get ready to grab your ankles. They are a giant PIA to deal with.
