Have we have gone back to the days of King declarations. What happen to passing laws and voting on stuff?
How many people are dying for this type of imperial action to be taken?

Therefore, ignore it as many will do. They can claim what they want but many places wont care or enforce a strong recommendation.

Don't conservatives believe that state and local governments know best? Well, you got it.

This isn't blue or red or purple. It's more like WTF is going on.
An exercise of local and state control?
IDK but it's crazy.

My governor, David vitter, outlawed the mask bullshite and he’s heading a council to expose the democrats’ coronavirus hoax. It’s crazy how many hospital administrators he’s sent to prison for forging test results
He’s on his second term and he’s been great. We got legal weed, sports betting, the br loop is almost done. His tort reform laws have made insurance premiums go down.

I thought only Louisiana was this screwed up. Illinois and New York are every bit as pathetic.

Schools quit teaching history and civics and people quit paying attention to the government because the media grew fat and complicit and parents quit being involved in their children’s lives and education.

A law was passed... by our legislature.
It states that under emergency declarations the governor can give this authority to local governments.

It happened. The Louisiana Legislature passed a law granting executive authority over emergency situations when the Governor declares states of emergency. Within that law, passed by the legislature, allows the governor to control ingress, egress, movement, and economic concerns within an area during states of emergency. The law gives the Legislature the ultimate authority to rescind a declaration of emergency by a petition from either house.
There is nothing illegal, per se, about Edwards’s order.
This post is not an opinion on the ultimate validity of any order by the Governor.

Thanks.
Guess the question is, are we in a real state of emergency.
