Sister in law is right about the hand shake, but honestly, you shouldn't have even gone there in the first place.

Tell her you don't want her sister at your wedding.

She (sister in law) can change her attitude, or she can find a new sister.

My girlfriend and her sister have fought since I met them. She tried to break us up by making up some straight up lies so I told my girlfriend she could choose between me or her sister.

I don't put up with people's shitty attitudes though. Including my own mothers. So I may not be the best guy for advice.

I'm gonna stop you right there. The type of people who think they are special for being an "introvert" are usual shitty people. Be less shitty.

All of this. And grow up and call the sister in law and have an honest conversation.

You didn't mean to hurt her feelings or slight her husband but I can see how they took it like that.

Meh...

First time you meet him? Sure

Haven't seen him in a long time? Of course.

If you see him all the time? No need to shake the man's hand every time.

My advice is to quit being so weird. If you're a little more sociable then people will like you.

First of all, I thought greeting people when walking into THEIR house was kind of a given. Probably doing the same when leaving as well. Whether you are shy and quiet or loud and obnoxious, it seems like the right thing to do.

Secondly, your SIL to be sounds like a complete bitch, and it seems your fiancé, her sister, thinks likewise.

If she doesn't want to take part in her sister's wedding, then her loss. She'll regret it if y'all stay together for many years. I'd lose zero sleep over petty shite like this.

You're a piece of shite and I hope she chose her sister.

What kind of frickwad makes his girlfriend chose between himself and her family...

Her sister is going to skip the wedding because you didn't shake her husbands hand when you went to their house? Seems like there must be more to the story because that's about the lamest excuse I've ever heard. I definitely wouldn't apologize but I'd work on being a little friendlier. Definitely would not apologize for not being friendly enough though, that's retarded.

He could fix the SIL if he was an Alpha and just handled that shite like a man.

Instead he cowers and expects his soon to be wife to handle shite.

How would you feel if your siblings SO gave your family the cold shoulder every time he/she was in your presence?

OP should hug the husband next time, kiss him on the mouth and grab his dick and say "that friendly enough?"

She made up a story that I was cheating on her with no proof and it was all bullshite.

If you would still be friends with your girlfriends sister after that you have no balls.

Show some damn respect when you enter another mans home and stand and shake his hand. Sounds like you need to mature a little bit.

If you can recognize your social awkwardness then it's probably VERY noticeable to others.

Sis in law probably thinks you're a weirdo and bad for her sister. It's tough to know without seeing the relative attractiveness of all parties involved.

Always shake a man's hand when you enter his house. Also, if they already hate you, have fun with it. My advice, start with a pineapple, and just bring random pieces of fruit literally every time you go. It's just normal enough that they won't openly question your motives, but weird enough that behind closed doors they will ask each other what weird affiliation you have with fruit.

Not to harp on this but I think the popularity of Meyers Briggs did a lot people a disservice here.

Enjoying time alone is not special, everyone does it. Now there's subreddits for self proclaimed introverts like it's a fricking mental condition. You're just like everyone else, and you don't get a license for special treatment. We all do things we don't like as adults and sometimes that involves social shite. Grow the frick up.
