The sun is a big TIG welding rig. It’s not as hot as they speculate.

Ok. I read atmosphere of sun is hotter than surface. I don’t know enough about it. Just was curious as to how a substance can withstand that type of heat. The surface is supposedly 10,000 F.

That is scary! They should have sent the probe there at night…

Does that mean Gaucho is god and we’re just living in his weld puddle?

the probe reached speeds in excess of 430,000 MPH
With its own propulsion or was that because of the sun's gravitational pull?

That is plausible but what about the electronics, the camera and other communications on board?

There is a good chance that they do not intend the hardware to last that long. They may have set the perigee that low to study everything on on the way down but never intended the probe to make it around the closest point with everything intact.

They couldn’t splurge for a camera better than black and white?

So, what man-made material is that probe made of? What's the temperature of the Sun's atmosphere? How is all this possible?

They must have gone at night

I’m no mathematician, but I’m assuming they can figure out how fast it was going by the distance from the sun.

For example, their earth orbits at 67,000 mph while mercury orbits much faster. This was much closer to the sun than mercury so it was probably going pretty quick.

Or they could just send Golden Meadow PD out there to hide behind Venus and radar it.

they'll own Uranus when it's all said and done
