Pretty sure I just saw the most beta commercial ever

Just saw this during a commerical break for a college hoops game: LINK
For those who don't watch it, a man is asking permission to marry his girlfriend, turns out the person he is asking permission for is his girlfriend's 6 year old son.
So pathetic
I am guessing the point of this commercial is to brainwash men into thinking marrying single moms is some kind of noble act that only takes a true man to be able to do.
I'd rather jump off the Horace Wilkinson Bridge in January than date a single mom let alone marry one. I can't think of anything more beta than dating a single mom. You will never come first(her kids will) and you will always be cucked by the father of her kids and/or her ex. So at best you will be her 3rd priority in life.
With 3.5 billion women on the planet surely you aren't thirsty and desperate enough to have to settle for a woman with spawn of another man.

I've seen this commercial probably 100 times and it irks me, also.
