Trump's Tweet also called it the "Chinese virus," so one could argue the xenophobia comment could be directed at that, as that phrasing has been continually attacked by the Democrats as being xenophobic.

Don't have to. I already posted the section of the speech in question. Nowhere did he call the China travel restrictions xenophobic, as claimed.

You do realize that taking this position serves as your notice that you lack basic critical thinking abilities?

Does it? Let's take a look at the whole picture, shall we?

There are a handful of things this administration has done that Biden and elected Democrats have publicly called xenophobic. The Muslim travel ban, the travel ban from certain African countries, the actions on the Mexican border, calling the Coronavirus the Chinese virus, etc. So they clearly have no reservations on publicly calling this president and some of his policies xenophobic.

A claim was made that "the left" lost their minds and called the China travel ban xenophobic. Upon my questioning who "the left" was, the names Biden and Pelosi were presented. Yet, no evidence of of either directly calling the China travel restrictions xenophobic. Why not? Neither has been shy about calling other policy decisions xenophobic. Seems it'd be an easy thing to prove. I have conceded that Biden's speech on 1/31 could be argued that he inferred the travel restriction was xenophobic, but nowhere in that portion of his speech does he directly mention it.

We should call it the Chinese virus. Here is someone who disagrees with Trump on just about everything and saying he’s right to call it that and blame China: Bill Maher on the China virus

Yes. You have only talked about what Biden didn’t say. Please tell us what you think he was referring to.

Because it is an ebola virus? No one under 70 in the western world calls it "the ebola".

It’s named after a river in Africa where it’s from.

Because it originated near a river in Africa called the Ebola river, which translated means Black River, but it's not called the African Virus if that's what you're getting at.

We also still call 1918 the "Spanish Flu", even though it started and spread around the world from a military base in Kansas.

So we took its name from the scientists who actually named it. Didn't make up an informal xenophobic name for it after the fact, when science now knows better.

News flash: we are way better at disease science than we were even a decade ago. Assuming the government supports such research, of course.
