The person was obviously an idiot and was literally asking for it, but I can't help but to think that this could have been solved without the use of deadly force.

I fully support and appreciate the efforts of the police department but I think this was a mistake. Training needs to be put in place for officers so that they are given the option to administer a non-lethal shot… like the leg. There was more than enough time in that video to put one in his thigh before the shot to the torso. He never seemed to fully charge either of the officers. If he were however running full steam waving a knife then all bets are off… Drop him like a bag of dirt. Just my two cents.

You realize if there is no tourniquet to stop the pulsatile bleeding, it only takes a couple of minutes to die from a gsw to the thigh, untreated
With that said does all LEO's carry tourniquets, chest seals, etc or just medics that are on swat teams and such?

Because I believe in the Constitution of the United States of America? The 5th amendment States "...nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law;" there was zero due process in this case. Just like damn near every other case of local government murdering citizens. Due process is so important it is the only right listed twice in our constitution, yet it is ignored. Sorry that I understand how government us supposed to operate towards citizens in regards to the rules laid out for our government by law.

Jesus Christ. There is no such thing as a non-lethal shot. Everytime a gun is pointed at someone and a trigger pulled its a lethal shot. You do not point a gun at someone and fire it without taking the significant possibility that person will die.

Exactly, the left has eroded the fact that, like it of not, when a cop gives you a lawful order it's not up to you to decide if you will comply. Add in a weapon and youre begging for what this person got. Not to mention SJW's want to act like this person wasn't seriously messed up in the head. So maybe the pressure got to "it" and they decided to end it. No weapon and only a forceful cuffing happens. All this "leg shot" bull crap. They're not shooting BB guns

We have laws of self defense do we not? How can a law that protects a self defender be any less of a law compared to an assailant?
