I remember when 911 happened and was thinking how happy I was to have a southern Texas redneck badass president who was going to bomb the frick out of the Muslim world. I don't feel this way about Obama. I don't feel safe with him as president.

I don't want a ground offense, I think doing that will exacerbate things. We need to get muslim countries over there to rid Daesh. Also, those same muslim countries need to rid themselves of radical sects of Islam.

I liked his speech quite a bit actually.

I just read the transcript. I don't know how it came off on TV but it read well. I'm glad he finally acknowledged the problem of radical Islam, even if he didn't say "radical Islam."

As for the rest of it, there is talk and then there are results. Apart from some vague promises to review our visa screening programs, there's nothing new. He can talk about what's he's done against ISIS but our troop training program has been a complete failure and the Turkish border still leaks like a sieve.

As for the no-fly list proposal, as I understand it, there are no appeals, despite the fact that the list is filled with errors. Ted Kennedy was once prevented from a flight due to the list. Therefore according to Obama's logic, he could not be trusted with a gun. Really? As for the weapons the San Bernardino shooters used, they were modified after purchase. No gun law would prevent that.

Obama can give a good speech. We all know that. He's not as good on results. I'll praise him more when he can deliver results.
