If it shifts west would that also shift it more northward? I notice my weather app keeps upping the high temps for my area on Tuesday. It said 66 this morning now it says 70.

What is weird to see on the NAM is that the storms play rope-a-dope with your area until the main line finally comes through.

This area is weird. Storms rarely materialize here anymore even when conditions are ripe. They ramp up when they get to around Winona

Last one I remember was the 2010 yazoo tornado

Well, I shan't worry about it until tomorrow.

DST sucks because all the models and outlooks are in zulu so everything is later now. I suspect this is more of a me problem though.

Gonna be a long next two days. Got tornadoes to likely track in central and east Texas tomorrow afternoon. Then Tuesday will very likely be busy. Stay safe those in harms way.

I'll be around, hopefully. Things got pushed back by a couple days.

I’m guessing that it is pretty likely BR area schools will be closed tomorrow?

I don't see school being canned tomorrow just because of the timing. They like to cancel when it is a morning event. May see some early dismissals

They’re having a hard time determining where the northern boundary will be.

There will be a cap limiting severe potential north but how far north is uncertain. Looking like north ms and north Al to the south will possibly have significant severe potential now

Right but it won’t be as far south as south Louisiana. These things are almost always north of the Louisiana/Mississippi line. It’s going to consolidate into a single line here and we’ll all just get a bunch of rain and lightning. Maybe some wind gusts. The marine layer destroys severe storms here AND we won’t have that dreaded west wind with this. West wind during outbreaks and summertime — that’s when south Louisiana gets hit hard.

Am I safe (WEATHER-WISE) to travel to New Orleans on Tue afternoon around 2 and stay in a hotel in New Orleans Tue night? I know the weather will not be great but is there a tornado risk for New Orleans?
