I just drove in from Dallas and got a great deal at $15 per pound.

Can't wait to boil these bad boys and sprinkle some Tonys!

Called today to order some for Easter and they anticipated prices to be $3-$3.50 this weekend. I'm thinking $1.50 after this weekend

Man! When I was in HS and college, $35/sack was a December price. By mid march, they were down to about 60 cents a pound. Weekend after Easter, you could get $15-$18 sacks without trying.

If you are buying by the sack, then it is priced live per/lb. Per sack is usually from an individual.

Right now the dock is paying about $1.50 per lb, so retail would be anywhere from .50-$1.00 per lb. more.

Sacks can be anywhere from 32-40 lbs, almost never see 40 anymore. So on average sacks are about 35lbs.

Post Lent, the price will be $1.00 or less per lb at the dock, so $1.50-$2.00 would be retail. In the weeks following Lent, because the dock isn't buying every day now, crawfish will probably go to 60. cents at the dock. That is the point where people will begin to stop fishing because of the cost. Fuel is alot less this year, so that could be lower.
Issues getting product to TX, Alexandria, and the North Shore has really affected supply. The Spillway hasn't really started yet. So if there is a over supply issue now, they will only get cheaper.
