Lmao. You have to promise to give and update when this goes bad

I'd bet OP is trolling but assuming it's true, wife is being just as selfish by going off bc and trying to get pregnant when he doesn't want another kid
The risk of pulmonary embolism goes up in your 30s if you are using birth control. A lot of doctors recommend stopping it at 35. That might be what happened here.
If not, she's steamrolling him by just doing whatever she wants and telling him without asking for his input. That could mean she's being childish. But it could also mean the OP is being a wuss and is not standing up for himself. Or both.
Lot of major red flags here. No marriage is perfect, but both of them have to be pulling the same direction on topics like this. The decision to have or not have a child is not something where a compromise will suffice. They both have to be all in on the direction they take.

I guess the good news is when the wife divorces you, there won't be any worry that you will knock up any one else that comes into your life for a few hours.

Also, can you divorce a pregnant woman in Louisiana?
Yes, you can.
The wife of one of my best friends was cheating on him and got knocked up. They had only been married for about a year, and he divorced her pretty quickly to avoid having financial responsibility for the kid.

This is like one of those fake Reddit stories people always bring over here

Kind of my thought too.

I did this and my wife and I are happier than ever. She still doesn’t know though.

34 years old with two children. Wife has been trying to sell me the idea of having another. I'm done. She's said she's going to discontinue taking BC in the beginning of May for 'health reasons'. My initial visit was last Thursday. Schedule procedure for April 4th when my wife is planning on visiting her sister for four days. The plan is to then fake a illness when she returns, probably covid. Hopefully, this will give the stitches time to dissolve. If everything goes as planned, I'll be sterile by May and my wife won't be none the wiser. If I don't offer a follow-up, the plan was foiled and she blood has been shed.

But this seems like a foolproof plan, so I say full steam ahead.

Her divorce lawyers are going to have lots to work with here.

This is the reason we all come to the OT for entertainment. Stories like this and imagining your wife and your mother switched bodies.

awesome for him if he was successful, many states won't release a husband from financial obligation to a pregnant spouse, irregardless of the bio father

I am 50/50 on the OP actually being serious.
It's like one of those satire articles coming out when reality seems every bit as ridiculous.

In fairness, I guess I should've added that this all went down about 25 years ago. I'm not aware if there have been any changes to La. law in that regard since then.
Also, they could've just left out the part about her being pregnant, I don't know. She felt pretty guilty about it all and just wanted to give him an easy out.

She will find out. Once she does the following will happen.
1. She will divorce you.
2. She will take half of everything you have
3. You’ll get to see your two kids one weekend a month and have child support to pay until they’re 18.
4. You’ll find out from your kids about your wife’s new “friend”.
5. Not long after you’ll get the news your kids have a half-sibling on the way.
You left out that he will meet someone new and wonderful, but won’t be able to have children with them.

Just tell her you don't want anymore kids, get the inevitable divorce anyway, and be free to have another kid when you DO meet Mrs. Right.

You're going to feel really bad after you get the vasectomy and your wife still gets pregnant.
Posted on 3/21/22 at 10:11 am to ChairmanOfThisBoard
Just have them remove your nuts all together. They are clearly non functional since you won't even tell your wife you're going to have a vasectomy.
I would say grow a pair but that seems like the opposite of what you want.

And when the ex tells them what he did they will hit the rode rather than stay with a manipulative, nutless liar.
