For some reason is something that never gets mentioned when it comes to safety, but in this situation I am picturing this being on the outskirt of the fair. Maybe walking back to their vehicle, but lets say its a dark area between the fair and a parking lot with lights, its hard to see people in that dark area. If this officer was on duty, I would think there would be a light on the 4 wheeler, but my eye sight is horrible at night and it might just be me or people with bad eye sight at night, but if I was a betting man I would say it was a situation where when the officer saw the woman, he didn't have time to avoid her.

Its always good to walk with some type of light or reflector. Put your phone flashlight on or something like that.

Inevitable. Ask for the reason Alma Plantation no longer sponsors, nor runs it. Hint. It’s fatiguing.

Rather than blame the victim it's probably the cop hauling arse for some BS reason. Family member probably called him to help them get out the parking lot quicker. Pure speculation on my part.

Making yourself go upside down in the gravitron is something GenZ cannot comprehend.

Yeah, as a kid/teen, I never even gave it a second thought.

Now, i think when you see the cretins who assemble and operate these things, why would you ever trust them with your safety?

fortunately they will both be okay eventually. long recovery expected. one having multiple surgeries on arm, face, leg. the other will have reconstructive surgery on face and had a brain bleed which is being monitored, but again both are expected to recover. could've been much worse.

when I was building dirt cars, my buddy and I would walk the lot when they left,

and fill a coffee can full of "hood pin" cotter pins off the ground,

we'd laugh and wonder it they lots them at the beginning/setup, or when they left

we never let our kids ride anything but the little train, (they hated that)
