Other religions don't have the same frequency of incidents as Catholic priests. I'm sure there are plenty of scumbag Methodist preachers but they can go home and rail their wife after their sermon if they want to.

Guy was our priest in brusly when I was a teenage around 96-00.
He seemed a little weird.

I seem to recall a pastor at Florida Boulevard Baptist Church being reassigned rather quickly about 20 or so years ago. Same with the pastor at Trinity Lutheran who was caught picking up dudes at Forest park back in the day. It happens more often than you think, and all churches keep it as hush hush as possible.

Actually Protestants Priests do far more "diddling" than Catholics... no excuse for it though...just wanted to point out your error...maybe next time you should include the protestants as well in your diatribes against Catholicism...

We had a Parish priest accused of pedophilia with these two twins kid that were new to the parish.
Of course it made huge news and was on the first page.
After a little investigating, the parents of the twins had already settled out of court in two separate cases, 1 in Kansas City and another one around Philadelphia where they accused other priests of the same thing.
Case was thrown out of court. Only a one line mention of that part in the newspaper.
Since then that Priest has had to serve at the retirement home for elderly priests.
Shame too. He is a great Priest.
Of course it made huge news and was on the first page.

It takes a true mental midget to think the abuse is a symptom of the priesthood.
Most logical people would realize that the real issue is that sick people have gravitated toward priesthood out of denial and the desire to hide who they are.

Let's pray that regardless of what happened or didn't happen that there is healing all around in this situation. Not only will these two people experience pain here, but so will all of those who place(d) trust in these two.
