Lights went out just after 8am. Anybody got the scoop on when power is expected to come back?

You don't have an backup generator that automatically kicks on when the power goes out?

Drove thru there earlier. Saw a lot of contracted utility trucks. Looks like some downed lines at Oliphant/Ridgely.

One of the red ones. You got a link to that map? Thanks!

Just got update from Entergy. They're estimating 10pm. Sucks either way.

Same lines went down during Gustav and had JT w/o power for 2 weeks.

What is the deal lately with the lines falling in BR? Third world city

It's really pathetic that it takes them this long to restore power in an area like that. If there's a common issue that causes the lines to fall and it's happened numerous times, why not just fix the issue? I guess to do that. BR would have to start a committee, hold public meetings, take it to the council, bring it to the senate, then have the public vote.

That's one thing I don't miss is Entergy. Enjoying the energy deregulation and cheap electricity.

They have had crews working continuously although many less now. You can see where the microburst/ tornado came through the neighborhood. JT has so many mature trees it’s inevitable as long as the lines remain above ground. Gustav took forever, I just stocked up on ice and stuff. If it’s not up by 2 pm Monday I have to move my business stuff ( computers, printers, etc ) elsewhere and it will start really costing me . Anytime these things go more than a day or so I start spending money and wasting time. So hoping for the best. At least it’s cool.

Still out. All the trucks left around 2. New time is 5 pm.
