He has poured gasoline all over the bus which is stuck on a bridge and is threatening to light a match. Link

Did he go around town kidnapping them and throwing them on the bus or were they already on the bus?

The kidnapper is purportedly a police officer. He should have applied to be a NOPD Officer back in the 90s with this type of criminal behavior.

Not to make light of the situation, but the traffic is going to be as bad as BR.

Police in Rio de Janeiro killed 881 people in six months *according to official statistics*. That’s one person killed by a cop every 4h53m in just one state. This stat, historically, has been underreported.

Imagine if they gave him a camera crew and followed him around after Katrina.

Those poor police ladies in the Tchoupitoulas Walmart wouldn’t have gotten so much heat.

Blame it on Rio

ETA: have gone to Sao Paolo a lot for work over the years and we stay off of this big drag called Paulista Avenue, very common for the locals to have organized demonstrations or protests on that street on Sundays, one day we were at this watering hole called Opcao, a couple of bocks off of Paulista and a march was going on, very loud, we heard what sounded like two gun shots and laughed and said "two less protesters," we finished our beers and started back to the hotel via Paulista, and that's exactly what it was, cops had blown away two protesters, for whatever reason

They are all black, cops and bad guys.

I worked with a former Rio cop, he said he never thought he would live to find another job. He said almost daily he was in life or death situations.
