Most recent runs I’ve seen have all shown this developing into a GOM hurricane just prior to July 4th weekend, making landfall anywhere between TX/MX border and the FL panhandle. A number of the ensembles showed a Cat 2-3 landfall in SWLA

Not trying to be a dick, just trying to bring clarity to your post. That “number” you’re referring to is two and the category is minimal 1. Only four of the many ensembles being it to LA and two of those are hurricane strength. That said, the cluster bending more northwest toward the general north central gulf coast is eyebrow raising.
