Apparently, this is the wave to watch for development according to the GFS model.

Anyone know the tiebreaker for any youth World Series tournament from Texas all the way to Florida?
Better yet anyone know the dates for the punta Cana World Series for travel ballers

Near the panhandle as a 980mb hurricane now. GFS sees something it’s just not sure yet exactly what.

It’s too early in the season for a strong hurricane so although it’s not unprecedented, I’ll believe it when I see it. I just think odds are we won’t see a strong one.

Latest GFS has a strengthening tropical storm in the southern gulf heading more west than west north west into the direction of Texas or Mexico. The run isn’t over yet though.

Yep, south Texas would gonna get a major hurricane on this run.

Weather forecasts have been aweful for some time now.

Generally they have been improving by a lot but I do think many of our severe weather busts in south Louisiana the last few years is partially due to the fact that we almost have too much technological advances now which allow us to see more data. So nowadays we see everything in place (that we think should be in place) for a big outbreak but there’s something we’re missing in our geographic area that we don’t know we’re missing and that causes the outbreak to never happen. Kinda like we’re applying old knowledge to new data. I believe we have more info now than ever before but at the end of the day we’re still only human and bound to our human knowledge.

Maybe I’m wrong. Any of our resident experts wanna chime in?

That’s what I see too. So far, the GFS is the only one showing any development.
