dont you love those people and just want to choke the shite out of them?

they post shite for sale, then not respond to replies made, most often within minutes of the ad being posted, and then sometimes within the first hour the ad was posted.

yet they never reply to any messages, then, several hours later, you see they sold it to some person who just then asked about it 5 minutes ago. all while there were 6 or 7 people who were first to reply, who should have been ahead of them in line.

how frickin trashy, lazy, and down right disrespectful, to not at least give the first person to respond, the first chance to buy it?

is that not basic common sense decency to understand things "should be" first to reply is first in line and gets the first buying opportunity?

yes it has happened to me several times, otherwise why would i care enough to post this.

but then i cant be the only one that finds it trashy as frick and rude when people act that way.

Maybe the seller screens his buyers and decided you are a trashy person he doesn't want to do business with.

Example:

I post a lawnmower for sale, $100.

Within an hour, I have 10 offers.

9 of the offers are from trashy people. 1 of the offers seems to be from a decent person.

I'm going to do business with the decent person, even if he only offered $90 and was the last person to make the offer.

Lesson: If this consistently happens to you, over and over, reconsider the trashy shite you have on your facebook page.

not going to lie, I recently did it to a guy. Posted something, he asked some questions. But I got so busy, I keep forgetting to take pictures and reply. It's a cheap thing, nothing major. I feel bad, but swamped at the moment.

It's been years, but I used to buy and sell alot of stuff on CL.

From a seller standpoint, I can say absolutely that the replies asking for more info, pics, etc, flaked out 99% of the time. Those aren't buyers. Those are shoppers.

When the guy says "I'll be there in ten minutes" it sold 99% of the time. That's a buyer. He's already done his shopping, made his decision, and when he saw what he was looking for, he pulled the trigger.

Just go to the store and buy a new one of whatever this is. Using Craigslist or whatever you used is trashy

I hear you! I found a neat router table for a friend on FB Marketplace and the seller finally responded to me after an hour of him posting the item. I gave him my friend’s cell number and he said he’d call or text him. Nuttin. I sent him another text and he said he’d text him. Nuttin. My friend called and nuttin.

All Imcan think is that he got a better offer after we agreed to the price. Later, the item was removed from the Marketplace. Turd!

Their best excis would be that they were in the middle of selling while you called.

just had another one do it to me. we agreed on a price and was waiting on him to send the address and time to pick it up. after 30 minutes he replies "oh, i had put it on "let go" before i put it on marketplace and i see a guy messaged me before you did so he was first in line so he is coming to look at it tomorrow. if he doesnt buy it you are next.

i know damn well no one uses "let go" to sell shite around here, but i went look any way, just to see, and yep, sure enough, there is no ad on there for it

so obviously someone offered more money after we made our deal, and instead of being a man about it and giving me the option to match the other bid, he comes up with this BS story of oops, i didnt know someone was in line ahead of you

i buy things that need repair, anything that has a good resale potential, but only at very low prices so there is some profit to be made, then i repair and recondition them like new again, and then resell for extra beer money.

Sort of like when you book an appointment via the old craigslist and then they don’t answer the call when you’re 100 yards away. You know they are playing a numbers game and that is why when you show up on time they don’t call you back until five minutes later when you say you were leaving.

Or so I’ve been told, more
Or less, through a friend.

There are more options to sell crap to other people then you can shake a stick at.

In fact our economy depends upon it.
