Ordered something from Amazon. Realized I wouldn't need it once it arrived. It was like a $7 item. Started the return process with Amazon and they said to keep the product and they'd simply refund me the money.

Mine are horse related of course
1) I bought a helmet from a friend since it didn't fit her correctly. I noticed the chrome shiny part thingy on the top was peeling and chipping. Decided to email the company since I heard of a bad batch. The owner of the company in France emailed me back and said he would replace it. Never asked for proof of purchase (which I didn't have anyways since I bought used). A day or so later the VP of the North American branch emailed me and asked what size I needed. New helmet w/ a handwritten note showed up a couple days later. These suckers are $420ish.
2) I just put my old horse down two weeks ago. I had to cancel his supplements from SmartPak (they prepackage the supplements and autoship them out every month). They asked for a reason why I was canceling and I had to mark that the horse had passed. I received a hand signed sympathy card from them a couple of days later.

That's not customer service. That is a smart business decision. It costs them more than the $7 to return that product so instead of losing money on your return, they let you keep it.

I bought what was supposed to be a $250-$300 patio furniture set at a liquidation store for $25. I think it was that Walmart house brand. Mainstays, maybe?
The glass top was shattered so I called CS and they asked me what color it was and sent me a whole new table top in 2 days.

St. Jude's Children's Hospital
My son was a patient there 10 years ago. He's now cured and doing great
Anyway here's a snippet of how awesome they were
1. 1st day there the Dr sits with us for 4 hours, details out the next three years of our lives, explains the cancer in minute detail. Plays and falls in love with our son. She was incredibly empathetic and positive.
2. My son was 4 at the time and LOVED kiwi. STJ had a 24hr on demand cafeteria. At 3am, lil man called them and asked for smiley face pancakes with kiwi on the side. 15 minutes later they were delivered to him. He called the cafe for kiwi everyday. One time they ran out so the nurses sent a group text out to the next shift. Everyone coming into work that next shift brought Kiwi
3. No pain policy... Every procedure, every shot invloved some sort of anesthetic that would ensure the child did not feel pain
4. I gave STJ my insurance information on Day 1 and never saw a bill over the course of three years
5. Everyone from the shuttle drivers, janitors, and security guards to all of the medical staff were always bright, positive, and loving
I know it isn't fiscally possible to have an entire national health system like STJ but man it is difficult comparing other providers once you've experienced STJ.

I'm glad your son is well. I can't imagine going through that with my children.
Story brought tears to my eyes.

Costco tire center. Wife ran over a object in the road blew a tire. Went to Costco where ai bought them. Blown tire was replaced under Road Hazzard warranty. However they did not have the exact tires. The new tire had to have the same tire running across from it. So they gave me the other tire for free. Had to pay $30 for pro rated road hazzard, but nothing for the proper matching tire. Most tire places would have made me buy that other tire citing safety reasons, I dont buy tires anywhere else.

All I can say is that the support programs companies pay for premium support are *much* better than retail phone support. Microsoft and Adobe wouldn't have given me the time of day if I'd called as a regular Joe.

I left a message with the answering service and within two minutes after I hung up one of BR H&A servicemen called me back. I gave him my address and he said he was just leaving a house about 2 blocks from us and he could be at our house in 5 minutes and he was.
He found the capacitor had blown so he put in a new one and had our AC back on.
From the time I called until the time our AC was back up and running was less than 30 minutes.

Bosch - I purchased an automatic espresso machine in 2004 - primarily for my wife, but I still use it everyday too - to the tune of $1.5k. Because of the amount of moving parts, it has been repaired 5 times. Each time, I've called their New Jersey service location, they send me a pre-paid box made specifically for that machine, I ship it, they fix it and clean it, and ship it back. No charge.
Machine is the Bosch Benvenuto B30.

I went into that new gas station on Florida at Wooddale a couple nights ago to grab a drink and fill my car up. It was late at night, but there was a line at the register and they seemed to be having trouble with something, so seeing that I only had a small fountain drink to pay for, they told me not to worry about it and just go. I know it only saved me about a dollar and maybe 5 minutes of my time, but it meant a lot to me that night. Plus, that fountain drink (Barques Rootbeer with cherry and vanilla added) tasted fantastic. Not too syrupy, not too weak, perfect amount of carbonation.

AT&T shut my phone off without telling me why the day before I was supposed to move across the country. After trying for hours to try to work it out (it had to do with a dispute they had with my parents) I decided to just switch to Verizon the next morning.
It was going to take a couple days to get my phone ported over to their network, but I had hours before I was supposed to get on the road, so they gave me a refurbished iPhone that was probably worth a couple hundred bucks as well as unlimited data for 3 days for free. It was incredible.

I once had a Chevy truck that kept having computer issues and had to make several trips back to the dealership to try and have it corrected. Over the course of these visits, I became friendly with the receptionist at the service department. Ended up asking her out and getting laid.

Last week my daughter had about $500 worth of her Christmas gifts that she ordered from Amazon stolen from her car (She was bringing them to my house to wrap). She called Amazon to tell them to not allow those devices she bought to be connected and registered (since they were stolen). After telling the Amazon rep that her gifts were stolen she was put on hold. A few minutes later Amazon is telling her that they will be replacing everything that was stolen and she won't have to pay for them again. I'm still amazed. As a young college graduate just getting into the work world, it brought my daughter to tears knowing she would still be able to give her gifts that she worked so hard for to buy.
