It would be interesting to look into a crystal ball and know the ultimate fate of mankind and if high intelligence is a strong evolutionary trait over the long haul.
Rats aren’t going to survive the inevitable destruction of Earth, but they’re not going to destroy it prematurely or bring about their own demise either. As creative and reckless as we are there’s no telling what we might do in the future.
There’s a scene in the movie Contact where Jodie Foster is interviewing with a panel so that she can go meet the aliens and was asked if she could ask them one question, what would it be? She said, “How did you do it? How did you survive your technological adolescence without destroying yourselves?”
Pretty applicable to where we are as a species at this time.

Absolutely, I have a few others in the fridge, I just drink more IPAs than the rest because in my opinion, they are good.
