I had the same car but I had a 12” jl audio. License plate rattled so bad I ended up liquid nailing the damn thing to the trunk.

Not mine, pictured is a clean clone.

235 Straight 6, 3 on the tree.

In ‘73 the old man bought me one from the original owner (a widow in Carriere, MS) courtesy of her ad in the TP, $400.

I was 12 when I got it, cleaned it up, redid the interior and got it liveable.

Made about $500 on it after a couple of years.

That's a '70 in the pic. '71 went to single headlights.

I miss this truck so much, it was as reliable as it got but the jacked up gas prices after 9/11 with double tanks to compensate it's shitty fuel mileage made me get rid of it.

I quickly learned after high school how much it sucks owning a truck in your late teens/early 20's because EVERYONE asked you to help move. EVERYONE.

I just looked for a picture on Google of a blue '71 Malibu with a black top. But, you’re right, the Malibu I had only had one headlight. It was in pretty bad shape. As I looked down while driving, I could see the road through the holes and rust in the floorboard. But, the outside looked pretty good.

1983 Honda Prelude

Also drove these before I got the Quaalude:

1966 T-Bird

1982 Grand Prix

1976 Eldorado Convertible

You can imagine how much fun/trouble you could get into as a HS Senior in the Eldo in NeLA circa 1982
