Simply Irresistible - Robert (not David) Palmer

Ha - I wondered why someone downvoted - thanks.

"Juliet, when we made love, you used to cry
You said 'I love you like the stars above, I'll love you 'til I die'
There's a place for us, you know the movie song
When you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong, Juliet?"

Love,
I get so lost sometimes,
Days pass,
And this emptiness fills my heart.
When I want to run away,
I drive off in my car,
but whichever way I go,
I come back to the place you are.

My current sig quote, but the full first verse:

quote:

Long in tooth and soul
Longing for another win
Lurch into the fray
Weapon out and belly in

It's alcohol abuse if you pour it down the sink.

Jason Isbell's Speed Trap Town

"these 5A bastards run a shallow cross, it's a boys last dream and a man's first loss"

It's cool how he said something within the context of the song that reached out of the song to a known small town dilemma. It's one of those things that grab you when you're on the back porch by yourself after 6 or so beers.

I’m trying to right my wrongs
But it’s funny them same wrongs helped me write this song

But ya ought to thank me, before I die
For the gravel in ya guts and the spit in ya eye Because I’m the son-of-a-bitch that named you Sue
