I don't believe they ever had a full DNA profile from what was gathered at the scene. And as someone said before they had tons of searchers/volunteers in the woods which pretty much contaminated the entire area.

Went down the rabbit hole a little here with this case today. I always wondered about the 2 obviously different sketches. Apparently, there was a 22 year old guy on the bridge that day, supposedly had been arguing with his girlfriend but later he recanted. He gave LE the specs on the first sketch because he "saw" the guy- but the second sketch looks just like him, and I think LE thinks he did it, but they have no evidence. Anyone know anything about the validity of this?

You know they immediately searched his closet for those clothes in the video. I wonder if he was dumb enough to keep them.

Russell Williams, the Canadian air force officer/serial killer, wore the same boots he wore at his crime scenes to his police interview. Most of these guys aren't masterminds, even the smart ones. They're just lucky because it's pretty hard to catch someone who targets random victims without any personal connection.

Are serial killers normally THAT forceful with bragging about their killings?

Gein, Gacy, and Dahmer were all very reserved and hid their crimes very well.

Did Gein, Gacy, Dahmer live in the internet age with social media?

I thought i always understood the 2 sketches as and I could be wrong. 1st sketch is bridge guy from the video and the 2nd sketch was eyewitness accounts of a suspicious guy on the trail that day. I have also heard of the fight your referring to and I believe there were witnesses to that fight also. With LE being so tight lipped its hard to know whats true and whats rumor.

IDK about murder, but that guy is definitely guilty of feeling up passed-out chicks at a Molly Hatchet concert (possibly at Casino Magic).

Still though, I’m surprised he was so cooperative.

He likely assumed, in the case of a missing girl, that if he refused a search it would only arise more suspicion.

No clue if that’s him but the resemblance is definitely creepy. I have a hard time seeing that guy dress like the man in the photo though.

You wouldn't necessarily wear your regular clothes to go commit a murder in the woods, you'd wear something baggy and old that you can burn or trash immediately after. It's been speculated that 'bridge guy' had another outfit under the jeans and jacket he's wearing in the infamous video and he removed the outer layer when he left as to not be recognized.

This guy in the OP certainly looks similar and has a similar build, lives within close enough proximity to know the trails around the bridge and surrounding area, has a propensity for underage girls, and the tattoos/piercings fit the mold of a guy that went off the deep end and went all-in after a life changing experience.

There's a lot of indicators that point to this guy being a major possibility, but we'll have to see if they can find a legit connection or conversely a reason to rule him out.

I hope they've captured some candid video of him walking when he didn't think anyone was looking, because 'bridge guy' had a very distinct gait and lean to his walk.

Ok- I had not read/heard that theory. When I looked at the photos of "bridge guy" I noticed he was wearing baggy jeans- like older guys would wear- which does not fit this dude who looks fit.

Even if he has an alibi during the disappearance, he might have been involved with the murders if he had an accomplice. That friggin tattoo is just too creepy and similar to one of the victims, as are his twisted actions with the girl they caught him with.

Is it me or is it that NOSE that is glaringly suspicious

I’m not being funny - look at the mug shot and then the grainy photo

The nose is the same - that’s freaking me out

Again, I don't think there was enough premeditation in this to plan to have a pair of clothes bigger than your real clothes to wear on top just in case people take video or photos of you and you can burn them.

Most everything I've read said LE believes this was a crime of opportunity. The psycho was just in the woods and saw the girls so he killed them. His clothes do look like something you'd wear if you were going to sleep in the woods or under a bridge like the guy apparently enjoyed doing in his free time.
