The guy had a weapon on him he wasn't supposed to have. He said he was gonna kill the guy a few minutes before he killed him. And there's evidence to suggest he planted a gun in the guy.
Thought the cop was actually gonna get in trouble this time, guess not.

Between this case and the Freddie Gray cases, expect "protesters" to state that a cop demanding a bench trial is admitting guilt.

Because the defendant can waive their right to a jury trial if they choose...its just not very common in criminal cases.

SLPD has very few patrol cars w rifles. SLPD is in the middle of selling something like forty Thompson 45 Autos to outfit the men with AR15s since they are outgunned in the streets.
The defendant left the force shortly after the shooting and is living in TX.

That's kinda the disconcerting part. This one probably should have been guilty of something, but the BLM idiots will treat it the exact same as the Sterling case. So people pick their sides, have the same yelling contests and nothing gets resolved.

A lot of the businesses downtown are shutting down already. Wells Fargo is sending their people home. Gioia's deli is closing their downtown location for the day.
